Songlines of a Mutti Mutti Man Opens National Sorry Day (Monday 26th May) After a hugely successful season in 2007, Kutcha Edwards and his family are back in 2008 with Songlines of a Mutti Mutti Man. The season is aptly timed to kick off on National Sorry Day, and continue through National Reconciliation Week (see dates below). In the great tradition of oral history in Indigenous culture, Kutcha and his family present a unique and personal insight into the stories of the Stolen Generations. Named Aboriginal Male Artist of the Year and also NAIDOC Person of the Year in 2001, Kutcha Edwards continues to inspire. As one of Australia’s most prolific Indigenous singer/songwriters, his music and community work has made him a role model, mentor, friend and legend in the Indigenous community and beyond. Spend a night around the kitchen table with Kutcha Edwards and his family as they share their remarkable story through songs, laughter and tears. The show is about acknowledging the impacts of Australia’s social and political history. It’s about creating understanding, respect, and a much needed dialogue between Aboriginal and non-Indigenous Australians. But most of all, it’s about a family. Arts House, North Melbourne Town Hall Tuesday 8pm Wednesday 10.30am School Matinee Tickets:$30 / $20 conc Bookings through Easy Tix (tickets now on sale): How to get there: Melways Reference Tram Parking Wheelchair Access Other Information:
